This document was issued by the Office of Monastic Affairs when a monk named Reichin from Kofuku-ji Temple was promoted from Dento Nyui to Dento Jui on January 9, 850. It was signed by nine official monks including Taikei, not only monks from Nara but also three disciples of Kobo Daishi Kukai: Shinzei, Shinga, and Shinsho. On the back of Reichin's credential, it is recorded that on April 28, 925, two acknowledgments from Sanno-in, one judgment from Senjudo, and one certificate of donation from Kinkutsu-in, totaling four documents, were added to Enchin's official kugen certificate document storage.
