This volume contains three documents.
The first document is a transcription of a section on the Betto and Sango (three monastic leaders) of Ichijo Shikan-in (Enryaku-ji Temple) from the appointment document dated February 17, 818.
The second document is a draft of the latter half of the appointment document with the same date, listing Konponhokke-in, Jodo-in, Zenrin-in, Datsuzoku-in, and Koshin-in temples, stating the appointment of Betto and Sango for various institutions established by Dengyo Daishi and Gishin.
The third document is a copy of a prayer for the prosperity of Enryaku-ji Temple dated April 21, 818, written by Dengyo Daishi, listing the boundaries of the Hieizan temple's Dharma realm and the names of various institutions, providing insight into the early scale of Enryaku-ji.
